Burmese Relief Center--USA started in response to the violent crushing of Burma's "democracy summer" in 1988. BRC-USA has worked for eleven years to provide encouragement and material support for pro-democracy activists and the tens of thousands of displaced civilians made homeless by the military junta's vicious ethnic cleansing.
