This is the homepage of The Reality of Aid. The site contains links to two Reality of Aid reports, one focussing on Governance and Human Rights, and the other on Conditionality and Ownership. This site also contains past issues of ‘Reality Check’, the organisation’s annual newsletter. Written from a regional perspective it is designed to highlight current issues in international aid. The most recent issue of Reality Check tackles issues in the two countries hardest hit by the tsunami.

The Reality of Aid project is the only major north/south international non-governmental initiative focusing exclusively on analysis and lobbying for poverty eradication policies and practices in the international aid regime. It brings together more than 40 civil society networks working in the field of international cooperation in the 22 donor countries, in Asia, the Americas and Africa.
