This is the Mountain Forum homepage. Mountain Forum uses modern and traditional communications, supports networking and capacity building and encourages members to be proactive in advocating sustainable development of mountain areas. The website provides access to a range of resources and services through the regional nodes across the world and its secretariat in Kathmandu, Nepal. The site also offers links to the Mountain Forum’s five regional networks: African Mountain Forum, Asia-Pacific Mountain Network, European Mountain Forum, InfoAndina, and the North American Mounatin Forum. These regional networks are autonomous and function independently serving the interests of the membership in their respective regions. These regional networks provide a space to creating regional linkages between individuals and organisations concerned with mountain cultures, environment and sustainable development.
