This 26 page report provides a detailed documentation of continued forced labor practices in active conflict areas in Burma, despite international condemnation of these practices and actions taken by the ILO. Through interviews with 10 local village heads during 2002-2003, the report confirms that forced labor is coordinated at the institutional level by the Burmese military. The report calls for the Burmese Government to uphold ILO standards and for the international community to increase pressures on the Government until they comply.
