This is the International Women’s Democracy Center (IWDC) homepage. Working in partnership with non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and established community leaders around the world, IWDC provides the necessary tools and skills to women leaders to increase their participation in local, state and national politics, as well as in policy development and decision-making. Conducted in the local language, workshops focus on leadership, advocacy, how to run for elected office, and how to manage campaigns combined with telecommunications training with an emphasis on using e-mail and accessing the Internet. IWDC also conducts a wide range of research on women's political leadership in partnership with universities, colleges and research centers around the world.
