This is the Millennium Campaign homepage. The site provides information about the Millennium Development Goals, set forth by the United Nations. There are eight Millennium Development Goals, they are to: Eradicate extreme poverty and hunger; Achieve universal primary education; Promote gender equality and empower women; Reduce child mortality; Improve maternal health; Combat HIV/AIDS, malaria and other diseases; Ensure environmental sustainability; and to Develop a global partnership for development. The site provides regional and country specific information (not for Burma) and links to the campaigns action center.
